Last week I did something I said I would never do...I went and had dinner with someone I said I would never speak to ever again..Actually.a few people were there....I had not spoken to these relatives in 6 years but,as many know im moving back to New Mexico and I was having aniexty over something awful happening and not being able to say I love you and im sorry(my uncle passed away recently and i took it hard but made me think)....It was a great....not only did we all pick up where we left off but, actually noone seems to know what excatly happen and what was the cause  of this friction(other then maybe egos)..Today iam spending the afternoon with them before I move in the  morning..We all need to think about it....call that person you havent spoke to in some time and just find out how they are? be the bigger person and start the ball rolling..(and Btw,im almost ashamed to say it but,i was not the bigger person I was called and asked to come for dinner)...I hope you all understand what im saying as you know My postings dont always come out clear.

I understand what you are saying and I actually have done that in the past but to no availe. One thing I have also learned is that the past is the past and there's no bringing it back.

These were friends of mine way back when and yes, they were happy to hear from me again and promises were made to call back etc etc.  The last one I did was two years ago on New Year's Eve to one who used to be a very close friend, So close he was like a brother. H said he'd call back in a couple of days. I'm still waiting.

If it works out for ya all for the better, but if it doesn't, like mine didn't, well, I'm not losing any sleep over it. I tried.

Kim.....good for you. I am glad you made amends. I think the main thing is that it is something you wanted and it made you feel good inside. It also settled you.

Kap, I know how you feel too. I have had my own fallings out with people who were close and don't think that will ever be repaired. As you I live my life now and make it as happy as it can be and do not think about the past.

I guess my point is whatever makes you feel the best you can is the way it should be.

Ok, just my two cents.

I am happy for you Kim.....*hugs*

I tried acting normal once but it was boring so I went back to being me.
